In quilting we often see layers and secondary patterns as blocks are pieced into a quilt top. I liked the idea of creating some of these patterns. My daughter Nico gave me some lovely Japanese papers and I worked these into some of these panels. All of these paintings are on panels 1.5″ deep so I’ve included a couple of shot to show the depth. There’s no need to frame these pieces.
